If you are unable to see the caller’s number, please take the following steps:

• Caller ID not displayed: Check with your landline operator or Internet service provider that your line has Caller ID.
• Number masked by caller: Callers may have chosen to mask their number. In this case, the number cannot be displayed.

If you are unable to use your answering machine, please follow the steps below:

• Deactivate voicemail: If you wish to use your phone’s answering machine, please deactivate the voicemail service provided by your telephone operator.
• Adjusting the number of rings: Reduce the number of rings before the answering machine is activated, so that your phone’s answering machine is activated before your operator’s voicemail.
• Changing the answering mode: If your phone is currently in simple answering mode, set the answering mode to record messages. Precise instructions for this operation can be found in your phone’s user manual.
• Answering machine memory management: If your memory is full, free up space by deleting messages you no longer need.

If you use call filtering, you can hear the caller leaving a message. You can pick up the handset to speak with the caller before hanging up.

You can deactivate call filtering to stop hearing messages being recorded.

To activate or deactivate call filtering, go to the menu on your handset.
